Our philosophy is to detect any problems early so it will not be so costly to cure the problems later.
Among the newer technology used is an intra-oral camera to detect cracks and broken down fillings. We also use a small pen-like laser, which scans the teeth in search of hidden decay. A number scale and an alarm sounds when there are signs of decay. If a cavity is detected, it is then treated to stop the spread of disease before it destroys the tooth from within.
We use state of the art tooth colored bonded fillings for all restorations. If cavities are detected early enough, and are small enough, they can be treated without a drill and a needle using air abrasion. Air abrasion is a gentle spray of air and powder mix used to remove tooth decay.
Since 1996 Dr. Clark has been using bonded restoration technology to repair teeth. Silver fillings are like a thermometer in your mouth that expand and contract with hot and cold temperatures causing the filling to expand and eventually crack the tooth. Bonded, tooth colored fillings strengthen your tooth and are esthetically pleasing.
Our hygiene department uses the latest technology and equipment to
ensure that our patients have the best possible care.
we have a very active recare program to keep your mouth healthy and your
smile brilliant.
Diode laser technology is the state-of-the-art treatment for periodontal
(gum) disease. Diode lasers are specifically designed to gently and
effectively treat the soft tissues of the mouth, and can even be used
to treat disease below the gum line. During the laser treatment, a small
beam of light is used to remove unhealthy tissue, and shape and sculpt
the gum line to the desired contour. Best of all, diode laser treatment
is very comfortable. There is no bleeding or stiches- after your appointment
you simply return to your normal routine with a more healthy and stunning
smile. The laser can also eliminate unsightly and painful cold sores
and canker sores. Dr. Clark and hygienist Doris Coy are trained and
certified in laser therapy for periodontal disease and cold sores.
